PADI Open Water training package
Written by Administrator
Sunday, 28 September 2008
We've decided to put together an all-inclusive Open Water training package. For only $745, you get everything you need to earn your certification - EVERYTHING!

What the package includes:
- Open Water training (classroom, confined water, and open water dives)
- PADI Open Water manual, dive table, and log book
- Mask, snorkel, fins, and booties (yours to keep!)
- 5mm wetsuit (also yours to keep!)
- Use of BCD, regs, and tanks during training
- Entry fees to dive sites
- Certification card application fee (if you meet requirements)

No hidden costs! No extra fees! The only thing you pay for besides this is gas in your vehicle's tank to get to the training sites.

Do you have a friend who is interested in getting trained to scuba dive? Each of you can take an additional $50 off the cost of this package. Only $695 per diver for 2-4 students in a class!

Call 850-272-7484 today to schedule your class!

Cavern now available in doubles!
Written by Administrator
Wednesday, 07 May 2008
Interested in completing our cavern course but you have been diving doubles? Current PADI standards dictate that students only use a single tank set up during their Cavern Diver course. We didn't think this was appropriate for a scuba diving course involving an overhead environment.

So we contacted PADI to request the standards be changed to reflect the current industry standards and to make it a safer course. The standards are being reviewed and will probably be updated by the end of this year. In the meantime, we have obtained a waiver from PADI to teach the Cavern Diver course to students wearing a double tank kit. This doesn't mean we will teach you how to dive doubles in this course. If you want instruction on that contact us and we will schedule some time to mentor you in diving doubles. If you have experience with diving doubles, then enroll in our course. If you meet all requirements, you will get a Cavern Diver certification card along with a letter from us stating you completed the course in doubles. This will allow you to dive places like Ginnie Springs in a double tank set up.

Peacock Springs State Park 9/16/08 -
We headed back to north central cave country again. Peacock has been having its ups and downs this year with all the rain we've been getting. On this particular day, it was up!

We headed down the Peanut line for our first dive. Visibility was in the 50-60' range throughout the dive. Even the basin was clear this day. Although, it did have a fine film of...something...on the surface.

Water temperature was 70 degrees.

A word of warning - bring bug spray when you head to Peacock. The mosquitos are out in full force and will stop at almost nothing to get some blood!
