Dive Reports

Hole in the Wall 6/10/10 - Got back into the downstream section. This time no scooters. We did a swim dive back to about 1000' and spent a lot of time just searching the perimeter for passages. We did find a couple of jumps we weren't aware of and that aren't on the map (more survey work to be done, hopefully those lines are knotted!). We turned around and headed back, finding another small passage we also weren't aware of. Before ending the dive it was time to complete some unfinished work from the last dive. We put in almost 500' of knotted line in the side passage that was surveyed last weekend. Didn't quite make it to the end before running out of line so at least one more dive in there. Counted knots on the way back and updated the survey data from last week. Distance estimation was amazingly pretty close! Another dive or two and that project should be done and we can move onto the next jump. |
