      Primary Lights

Buy a TillyTec canister light system and get a free SEAC R1 backup light!

The TillyTec system is so designed and built that it is robust and durable. There are no buttons, relays, switches or holes in the battery canister. As there are no wires to connect up or soldered fittings to break, the system is therefore really ‘fool proof’.

For the travelling diver, our lighting systems have the advantage that it can be completely disassembled and packed in the dive bag. The normally fragile light heads do not need to be carried as hand luggage to protect them.

      Batteries

TillyTec brings the new LiCoMn battery technology in a completely new concept to the market. TillyTec uses now only LiCoMn SINGLE – cells. These individual cells are housed in a special holder. The customer can later replace the batteries themselves, at the end of the battery life. The replacement is as easy as changing batteries in a normal flashlight. This has many advantages. E.g. customers need no longer send their light to us for battery replacements. The cells are of course available at TillyTec, or even at many online shops at the Internet. Thus, the advantage is obvious. A battery replacement costs today with the LiFe battery packs about $250-$500 (depending on battery size). Bu the same battery change with LiCoMn single – cells in the TillyTec special holder cost the customers only $50 – $80. As before, of course, the customer does NOT need to open the lamp for charging. Open the lamp is only necessary when the battery is defective and must be replaced.

Advantages of LiCoMn (Lithium Cobalt Manganese) batteries.

      - good security in the cell caused by manganese
      - more power and less space required by cobalt
      - Manganese “subdues” the dangerous of cobalt, so that the batteries are very safe
      - Cobalt brings a good, long shelf life

But there are also disadvantages that we do not want to hide:

      - LiCoMn can not be charged as fast as LiFe. Charging times will lengthen slightly.

Check out these specifications of different batteries and light heads:
